Human Factor XIa Purified from Innovative Research has been prepared from Human Factor XI using Human Factor XIIa (which was then removed using a corn trypsin inhibitor column). This is a frozen liquid buffered in 4 mM sodium acetate-HCl/ 0.15 M NaCl/ pH 5.3, with a concentration of 1mg/ml and a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.

Factor XIa activates Factor IX, and forms a complex with FVIIIa that activates Factor X. Factor XIa is inhibited by protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor (ZPI).
