Human Factor Xa Purified from Innovative Research has been prepared from Human Factor X, and activated by Russell's Viper Venom, then purified to remove the activator. This is a frozen liquid buffered in 20 mM Bis Tris/0.7 M NaCl/pH 6.0, with a concentration of 1mg/ml. Complete activation was observed by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Factor Xa, with cofactor Va, forms the prothrombinase complex (which helps to catalyze the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin).
